I’ve always loved reading. Long before I thought about publishing or credentials, books were simply where I felt most at home. That love of reading naturally led me to writing and eventually to wanting to work more closely with the words themselves.

As I spent more time writing, I became increasingly aware of how much care and attention goes into a polished manuscript. I found myself drawn not just to storytelling, but to the quiet, detailed work of refining language: clarity, consistency, rhythm, and correctness. Proofreading felt like a natural extension of that curiosity and care.

Today, I work professionally with authors to help their writing read as clearly and confidently as possible, without altering their voice. I proofread in Microsoft Word using Track Changes, focusing on grammar, punctuation, consistency, and the small details that can distract a reader from an otherwise strong piece of work.

I know how personal writing can be, and how vulnerable it can feel to hand your work to someone else. My approach is careful, collaborative, and grounded in respect for the author’s intent. My role is to help your writing shine, not to change it.

At its core, proofreading is about catching grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors, but my work doesn’t stop there. I also provide light, reader-focused feedback on clarity, flow, and consistency, flagging moments that feel confusing, repetitive, or distracting, and noting when something pulls me out of the story.

I work exclusively with fiction, specializing in romance, fantasy, adventure and fanfiction.
